Mid-Century Modern Overlay Necklaces
Mid-Century Modern Overlay Necklaces
These overlay necklaces are inspired by patterns used in mid-century modern design taken from textiles, furniture, and architecture.
These pendants are made using custom-cut copper foil applied to the surface of a piece of glass and covered with solder. This may sound simple, but heating the center of a piece of glass is apt to make it crack so it must be done slowly and carefully in order to create a relatively smooth coat of solder without ruining the piece. Each piece is hand made from iridescent glass that appears to be one set of colors in reflected light and a different set of colors when the light shines through it.
Handmade in Tucson, AZ. Hangs on an 18" stainless steel chain with lobster clasp. Made with lead-free solder, safe for skin contact.
